Lead AI/ML Architect

San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Machine Learning Product Architect to define, scale, and guide the architectural vision for our AI, ML, and GenAI products. This senior role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and applied machine learning, shaping how intelligent systems are designed, delivered, and scaled across the organization.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to architect production-ready ML and GenAI systems, integrating model training and inference into scalable, high-impact workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, believes architecture is a team sport, and has a proven record of delivering AI-driven systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect scalable ML and GenAI solutions across model training, inference, and workflow automation.
• Partner with product teams to translate business goals into AI-driven solutions.
• Lead creation of architectural references, best practices, and scalable patterns.
• Provide thought leadership in MLOps and GenAI infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and model monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure architectures meet the needs of ML, DL, and multi-modal models.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and integrate them to evolve the tech stack strategically.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
• 8 years of experience with production-deployed AI/ML systems.
• Proven success in scaling AI/ML and GenAI architectures from concept to production.
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms, LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and GenAI workflows.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python (additional languages a plus).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating production ML/GenAI systems with measurable impact.
