ITS Field Service Technician
Location: Lisle Illinois
Travel: travel In & around lisle back home most evenings
Hours - Monday - Friday

We are seeking an ITS Field Service Technician to join our Field Services team and support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across customer sites throughout the United States.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working independently in the field, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, integrate, test, calibrate, and maintain Intelligent Transportation Systems and roadside electronic equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and provide emergency service support on deployed systems in accordance with service agreements.
- Communicate directly with customers and provide training on the operation and use of installed systems.
- Work closely with Technical Support, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to resolve technical, design, and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete electronic reporting using company systems and processes.
- Review installation drawings and specifications to verify site compliance and identify any required corrections.
- Support and oversee roadside and in-road construction activities as required.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure installation, repair, and service work is completed to company standards.
- Maintain company vehicles in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
- Follow all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Electronics Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using tools such as drills, grinders, meters, crimping tools, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT medical examination every two years.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and system operation issues effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a demanding environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
