What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Finance Associate position at Stellar Renewable Power?
Stellar Renewable Power, a KKR company, is seeking an experienced Finance Associate to support our utility-scale solar and battery storage project development. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will perform financial modeling and analysis, risk management, presentation creation, and project finance execution support. The position will be located at Stellar's headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
A successful candidate will have 2 - 3 years of experience in an analytical or transactional role, strong financial modeling skills, and an ability to quickly summarize and communicate complex ideas. This role will work very closely with members of all teams within the firm as well as upper management. Essential Functions:
- Financial Modeling: Builds, utilizes, and maintains financial models for solar and storage projects
- Analysis: Conducts pricing analysis to bid projects into RFPs, and analyze M&A opportunities - both acquisitions and divestitures
- Due Diligence: Works with the development, origination, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to determine optimal assumptions for various analyses
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the firm's Management Team, Board and Investment Committee
- Other: Help with tax equity and other capital fundraising as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (CPA, CFA, MBA etc.) are a plus
- Experience: 2-3 years of project finance and financial modeling for solar or other renewable energy projects
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial modeling
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with cross-functional teams
