We are seeking a Technical Write to support the development and execution of communication and training plans for regional public services and local programs. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical systems and end-users, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and equipped.
Key Details
- Location: Indianapolis, IN (46204)
- Work Arrangement: Remote (with an expectation to be on-site an average of 4 days per month)
- Interview Process: In-person only
- Schedule: EST (8-hour days scheduled between 6:00 AM 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Core Responsibilities
- Training Development: Create, edit, and format training guides and materials for systems of record using content from subject matter experts.
- Communications: Write, edit, and distribute clear, concise communications to end-users and stakeholders; monitor group mailboxes to resolve inquiries.
- Webinar Facilitation: Host and facilitate webinars by monitoring chat, sharing links, and troubleshooting user access issues.
- Classroom Support: Assist adult learners during physical classroom sessions, including equipment setup, testing, and registration tracking.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Experience: 3 years of working knowledge with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Service Management).
- Communication: Exceptional technical writing, grammar, and oral communication skills-ability to simplify complex data.
Desired (Bonus Points)
- Background in teaching, training, or adult education.
- Video editing experience using Adobe products.
- Knowledge of WCAG/ADA accessibility compliance.
- Web design, web publishing, or advanced document formatting.
- Prior experience working within public assistance or family support programs.
