Key Responsibilities
- Project Clean-Up & Closure: Audit past project activities and reconcile legacy grants/projects to the point of formal closure.
- Financial Adjustments: Analyze comprehensive financial data to process necessary journal entries and revenue transactions.
- Compliance Review: Review and interpret Notice of Awards and grant requirements to ensure accurate reconciliation.
- Tracking & Leadership: Maintain a master listing of all active clean-up projects and report on their reconciliation status as the Team Lead.
Important Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this position, your background must reflect:
- Software Mastery: Minimum 3 years of hands-on PeopleSoft experience (experience with Euna or similar finance/grants software is highly desired).
- Core Frameworks: Extensive knowledge of GAAP and GAAS (7 years preferred).
- Accounting Domain: 3 years of Government/State Accounting and corporate or public Audit experience is highly desired.
- Grant Literacy: Strong familiarity with federal, state, and agency fiscal policies, budgeting, and grant requirements.
- Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, paired with 3 5 years of progressive accounting/auditing experience.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently under pressure, problem-solve complex financial anomalies, and communicate effectively across teams.
