Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and facility policies.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Provide wound care and other nursing treatments as assigned.
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other assigned staff.
- Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate nursing team members.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and progress.
- Promote resident dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and respect in all interactions.
- Current, unencumbered LPN license required.
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Dependable, responsible, and professional.
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
