Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and medical histories
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Provide patient education and preventive health guidance
- Perform minor office procedures, including wound care, splinting, and suturing
- Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant certification (PA-C)
- Active Idaho licensure or eligible for licensure
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in urgent care, walk-in clinic, family medicine, emergency medicine, or primary care
- Strong clinical decision-making and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team
This position is full-time with rotating weekly hours.
