- This is a Part-Time or Full-Time Position
Requirements
Duties:
- Clean and disinfect areas of the hospital and clinics per detailed instructions
- Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Dispose of waste, including hazardous materials, following hospital protocols
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage of chemicals
- Follow infection prevention guidelines, including hand hygiene and PPE use
- Operate commercial vacuums, scrubber, carpet extractor, steam cleaner, trash/utility cars, and wall washing systems
- Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements
- Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos, and other hazardous substances
- Comply with use of proper cleaning chemicals per surface being cleaned. Follow and use manufacturers recommendations per cleaning surface
- Operate laundering machines to clean hospital linens, towels, and garments
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens according to hospital standards
- Monitor laundry equipment for proper function and report maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures for handling soiled linen
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred.
