EVS Tech (Evening)

Brief Description

The EVS & Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital and clinics ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role also includes laundering hospital linens and garments according to infection control standards.

Night Shift: 2 PM - 11 PM (Hours will vary)

Requirements

Duties:

• Clean and disinfect areas of the hospital and clinics per detailed instructions
• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Dispose of waste, including hazardous materials, following hospital protocols
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage of chemicals
• Follow infection prevention guidelines, including hand hygiene and PPE use
• Operate commercial vacuums, scrubber, carpet extractor, steam cleaner, trash/utility cars, and wall washing systems
• Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements
• Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos, and other hazardous substances
• Comply with use of proper cleaning chemicals per surface being cleaned. Follow and use manufacturers recommendations per cleaning surface
• Operate laundering machines to clean hospital linens, towels, and garments
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens according to hospital standards
• Monitor laundry equipment for proper function and report maintenance needs
• Ensure compliance with infection control procedures for handling soiled linen
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred.
