Position Summary
The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily production control activities, including managing work orders, supporting material planning, and ensuring timely communication across departments. This role focuses on executing established processes to support efficient production operations and meet internal and external customer requirements.
The Supervisor provides day-to-day oversight of production control and expediting activities, including direct supervision of team members. This position works closely with cross-functional teams such as production, purchasing, and sales to ensure accurate order processing, material availability, and on-time delivery. Additionally, the role supports continuous improvement efforts and reinforces a safe, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
Primary Functions
- Coordinate and oversee daily production work orders, including communication, follow-up, and updates
- Support ERP system use and data accuracy; assist with process adjustments as needed
- Review job specifications, drawings, and sales orders to ensure work orders are accurate and complete
- Maintain effective processes that support internal teams and meet external customer requirements
- Assign materials to jobs and monitor inventory levels to support production needs
- Track raw material and tubing inventory; coordinate replenishment as required
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to support on-time production and delivery
- Supervise production expediting and assembly support activities
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, purchasing, sales, etc.)
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to team members (including direct reports)
- Assist in training, onboarding, and performance feedback for direct reports

Qualifications
- Associate degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of experience in production planning or related areas
- Two or more years of leadership experience
- Lean Manufacturing Principles experience preferred

Working Conditions

Salary Range
$65,000–$80,000 with 2% quarterly bonus.
