STEAM the Streets is a bi-coastal mission-driven organization using media, music, arts, and STEAM education to inspire youth and guide them toward real pathways of opportunity.
Our work spans:
- Media production
- School-based programs
- Live assembly performances
- Community partnerships & outreach
- A mobile learning platform
We strive to be a multi-faceted inspiration machine.
We’re growing — and looking for a highly capable, deeply reliable person to grow with us.
This is not a single-function role.
The Operations Coordinator is the Founder’s operational right hand: someone who takes real ownership of the work that keeps the organization moving across multiple domains simultaneously.
You’ll touch:
- Operations & project coordination
- Marketing execution
- School partnerships
- Finance administration
- Media logistics
The right person for this role doesn’t see variety as chaos. They see it as the job — and they enjoy making all of it move.
This role is designed as the entry point to a future Chief of Operations trajectory.
Over time, as you build context and demonstrate ownership, you’ll move from executing tasks to owning functions, coordinating teams, and serving as an organizational quarterback alongside the Founder / Executive Director.
- You can draft a press release in the morning, follow up with a school at noon, and reconcile an invoice by end of day — and feel good about all three
- You follow through and close loops without being asked twice
- You’re highly organized and naturally proactive
- You’re comfortable juggling administrative, operational, and creative work
- You genuinely care about youth, education, arts, or mission-driven work
- Manage and maintain operational tools, software, and systems
- Create and maintain project trackers and spreadsheets
- Coordinate meetings and internal workflows
- Manage part-time creative and administrative team members
- Operationalize action items from team meetings
- Coordinate events and improve workflows as the organization grows
- Coordinate video shoots and production logistics
- Manage website updates and Linktree
- Assemble decks, proposals, and one-pagers
- Coordinate print and event materials
- Coordinate school-based programs and logistics
- Run brief logistics meetings with school partners
- Follow up with interested schools and program partners
- Pay bills and manage vendor payments
- Coordinate with the external accountant
- Send invoices and track payments
