Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with estate and trust administration from opening to closing.
- Prepare and file probate documents, inventories, accountings, and related court submissions.
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and trusts.
- Communicate directly with clients, financial institutions, and government agencies.
- Manage deadlines, maintain organized case files, and track important dates.
- Collect, organize, and analyze asset information for estates and trusts.
- Coordinate signing appointments and ensure all execution requirements are met.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as an estate & trust paralegal (law firm experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of Maryland probate procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with law-practice software a plus.
