What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Purchasing position at Stealth Company?

Responsibilities:
Lead procurement as a strategic business lever, unlocking value through negotiations,
partnerships, and category strategies that directly enable growth.
Move with speed and precision: Act quickly on business needs, balancing risk
management with urgency, ensuring that procurement is an accelerator, not a
bottleneck.
Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, R&D and
functional leaders to align procurement decisions with company priorities, revenue
goals, and innovation agendas.
Challenge status quo: Cut through unnecessary process and bureaucracy; design lean,
fit-for-purpose procurement approaches that scale without slowing the business.
Leverage insights and data: Use market intelligence, vendor analytics, and financial
acumen to make decisions that maximize value, optimize cost, and ensure sustainability.
Lead and inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing team that combines sharp
commercial instincts with pragmatic execution.
Qualifications:
A procurement leader with strong business and financial acumen, who thinks like an
operator, not just a process owner.
10 years of progressive procurement experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a
leadership role within a high-growth technology company.
Experience influencing executive stakeholders and guiding procurement strategies that
support broader business goals.
A track record of balancing speed, agility, and compliance—without falling into red tape.
Strategic negotiation expertise with the ability to forge win–win vendor partnerships.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and deliver results under
pressure.
Demonstrated team development capabilities across global teams and time zones.
Hands on experience driving ERP systems and SOP development is weighted heavily.

An opportunity to continue the build and scale of a modern procurement function at a
