A well-established, full-service law firm in Massachusetts is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 5–10 years of experience to join its litigation practice. The role can be based in the firm’s Boston, Worcester, or Southborough office. This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator who can take ownership of matters from day one and handle a varied caseload for businesses, institutions, and individuals.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial litigation matters from intake through trial or resolution, including business, contract, shareholder, and partnership disputes
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions; plan and manage fact and expert discovery
- Appear in Massachusetts state and federal courts, and in mediations and arbitrations
- Work on related litigation in construction, real estate, employment, and fiduciary disputes
- Work directly with clients and partners on case strategy, budgeting, and resolution options
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in Massachusetts
- 5–10 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm (6 years preferred)
- Strong background in business and commercial disputes
- Hands-on experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and hit the ground running

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
