Duties
- Clean rooms and public spaces with attention to detail within the expected guidelines
- Identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance attention and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to address issues promptly
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards
- Verify that all cleaning procedures including floor care, industrial cleaning, and janitorial tasks—are completed to standard
- Document inspection results accurately and prepare reports highlighting areas for improvement or follow-up actions
- Monitor the proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Assist in training new housekeeping team members on quality standards and inspection protocols
- Support ongoing efforts to improve cleaning processes and uphold exceptional hospitality service
- Assist in all areas of housekeeping as needed to make the team successful including: Public Area, Housekeeping, and Laundry
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care and industrial cleaning methods
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments
- Familiarity with janitorial equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for spotting cleanliness issues or safety hazards
- Effective communication skills for coaching staff and reporting inspection findings clearly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting
- Leadership experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus
