About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Odoo Functional System Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day functional operations of our Odoo ERP platform. This role is focused on managing business workflows, supporting key users, ensuring data accuracy, improving processes, and keeping our core Odoo modules running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Odoo’s business applications—such as Accounting, Inventory, Warehouse Management (WMS), Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Sales—and understands how to translate business requirements into optimized Odoo configurations. You will work closely with internal teams, management, and technical resources (in-house or external) to continuously enhance our ERP environment and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Administration & Process Management
- Own the functional administration of Odoo across core modules (Accounting, Inventory, WMS, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales).
- Analyze business processes and configure Odoo workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and business rules to ensure data consistency and proper access control.
- Oversee master data quality (products, customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, BoMs, etc.).
User Support, Training & Enablement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Odoo end users.
- Provide Level 1/2 functional support, troubleshooting issues related to workflows, transactions, and business processes.
- Deliver ongoing training, create guides, and enhance user adoption across departments.
- Gather user feedback to identify functional gaps or improvement opportunities.
System Enhancements & Coordination With Technical Teams
- Work with developers, consultants, or Odoo partners to implement enhancements, new features, or customizations.
- Test and validate new modules, features, or configurations before deployment.
- Support integrations with third-party systems (e-commerce, logistics, finance platforms, etc.) by defining functional requirements.
Reporting & Data Insights
- Create, optimize, and manage Odoo dashboards and reports for finance, operations, and management teams.
- Ensure data accuracy and provide insights that support decision-making.
Light Technical Administration (Optional / Nice-to-Have)
- Assist with version updates, module installations, or basic system checks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting by reviewing logs or configurations before escalating to technical staff.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on functional experience with Odoo ERP in operational business environments.
- Strong understanding of ERP workflows across Accounting, Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and WMS.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system configurations.
- Experience supporting end users, training teams, and documenting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Odoo system settings, basic administration, or module management.
- Basic understanding of Odoo architecture (modules, models, user roles).
- Ability to read or interpret logs or simple Python errors (desired but not required).
- Experience coordinating with technical teams or external Odoo partners.
- Knowledge of Odoo.sh or cloud ERP hosting environments.
- Odoo functional certification(s) are a plus.
