The Division of Adult Institutions is currently recruiting to fill a Treatment Specialist 2 position, located at Racine Youthful Offender Correctional Facility in Racine, Wisconsin.
Position Summary
This position formulates and implements individual and group assessments, case plans, and treatment in the areas of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Behavior Modification. The specialist will have oversight responsibilities for multiple behavior modification and treatment groups at RYOCF to insure the program includes performance outcome objectives, performance measures, and audit instruments as part of the program designs. With RYOCF management, the specialist will design and develop an institution wide continuum of program delivery to serve the population and identify criteria to measure adequate, effective, and efficient program delivery. The position will address staff training and technical assistance needs. The Treatment Specialist 2 will conduct cognitive behavioral programming, anger management, domestic violence, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness programming, male trauma survivor group, and re-entry for the entire institution.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-63 with a starting pay of $34.46/hour - $38.08/hour. The rate within this range relates to years of state seniority. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.
This position may receive a $1.50 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000 ($1500 on first paycheck, $1500 after earning permanent status (usually 1 year)). (UW System employment isn’t disqualifying.)

This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site. Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM.

Applicants must possess a current AODA treatment certification from the state of Wisconsin in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification.
