The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Corrections Program Supervisor position. This position is based out of Oshkosh Correctional Institution in Oshkosh, WI (Winnebago County).
Position Summary
This position directs select institution-wide, specialized programs at the Oshkosh Correctional institution (OSCI), to include: planning, coordinating, and administering facility library services, chapel, and oversight of the records department.
This position serves as the American Disability Act (ADA) Coordinator, Mortality Review Coordinator, Institution Litigation Coordinator and Open Records. This includes developing and maintaining effective policies, procedures, and budgets; establishing and administering related ongoing evaluation programs; providing information to the public regarding these programs and services, to include public speaking engagements; and serving as institution liaison with outside agencies as it relates to these programs and services. Responsibilities also include supervision recreation leaders, librarians, and Offender Records supervisor.
This position, serving as part of the institution management team, is responsible for diverse administrative responsibilities necessary in managing a complex multi-disciplinary institution, which includes participation in the planning, coordinating, and administering programs and processes that pertain to the development, implementation, and monitoring of overall institution goals, policies, and procedures.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 with a starting pay of $45.00/hour - $45.67/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
Anticipated schedule will normally be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM.
This position will also occasionally oversee special programming events that may occur on nights or weekends.
This position is anticipated to share the on-call responsibilities of the Administrative Duty Officer, which will occasionally involve work on nights, weekends, and holidays.
This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

- Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., local law enforcement, local governments, etc.)
- Experience performing supervision or lead worker related activities (e.g. assigning, directing, and/or evaluating work; disciplinary matters, hiring, providing training/mentoring)
- Experience with administration of a budget
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary workgroups, committees, and/or project teams.
