Introduction


Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) is recruiting for an Inventory Control Coordinator - Advanced. This position will work from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. WMHI is a part of the Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS) and is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Position Summary


As the Inventory Control Coordinator - Advanced, you will be responsible for the general operations of the WMHI and the Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) Store and Warehouse. Responsibilities include:

  • Ordering, receiving, stocking and issuing store and warehouse items using an automated software system.
  • Researching products to ensure that items purchased for inventory meet purchasing guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports using the automated inventory system to adequately maintain stock levels.

Salary Information


The starting pay is $23.01 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. The pay schedule and range for this position is 03/11.

Job Details


All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility or medical personnel directed by the facility prior to their start date.

DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. DHS is not an E-Verify employer nor a STEM-OPT eligible employer.

This position requires the ability to drive a State vehicle. In order to become authorized to drive a State vehicle, you must meet the requirements for the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle policy, which are:

  • Must have a valid driver's license;
  • Must have minimum of two years non-probationary licensed driving experience with a regular (Class D) driver's license;
  • Must be 18 years of age.

Additionally, your driving record MUST NOT reflect any of the following conditions:

  • Three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two years;
  • Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)/Driving Under the Influence (DUI) citation within the past 12 months;
  • Suspension or revocation of driver's license.

Qualifications


Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

  • Experience performing customer service tasks with internal and external partners in person, via phone and via email (e.g., providing instructions, answering questions, resolving customer complaints/conflict, etc.).
  • Experience using computer/software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PeopleSoft, etc.).
  • Experience performing general inventory control or operations tasks (e.g., tracking inventory usage, reviewing and processing orders, stocking supplies, fulfilling orders, etc.).

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience performing general inventory control or operations tasks within a stores operations environment.
  • Experience working in warehouse operations (e.g., shipping, receiving, storage of goods, etc.).
  • Experience performing purchasing tasks (e.g., using purchase orders, reconciling card statements, tracking spending, contacting vendors, etc.).
  • Experience leading, directing, or training staff.
