The Employee will be assigned to the Business Operations Office (BOO), Administrative Services Section and will be responsible for the day to day operation of the DEP Mailroom in the Kanawha City Headquarters.

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.

The Employee will be assigned to the Business Operations Office (BOO), Administrative Services Section and will be responsible for the day to day operation of the DEP Mailroom in the Kanawha City Headquarters.
Duties
- The employee will assist the agency mail runner with pickup and delivery of mail and checks for the Department of Environmental Protection, Public Employees Insurance Agency and the Real Estate Division and the Consolidated Public Retirement Board, which includes one trip daily to central mail and the Capitol Complex and various other agencies in and around the Charleston area and other pickups/deliveries as needed.
- The employee will be responsible for shipping and receiving packages from various carriers and logging the received packages in the computerized tracking system.
- They will be required to use the tracking system to research missing or mis-delivered packages.
- They will also be the primary point of contact and support for the building’s copy machines and printers. The employee will provide service as necessary and inventory toner for order. They will also place service calls with the contracted vendor for copy machines when required.
- This employee will serve as the inventory coordinator for all office locations of the Division of Air Quality. Assisting the Agency Inventory Coordinator in the annual physical inventory and completing routine inventory transfer, addition, and surplus paperwork for the division’s staff.
- They will serve as a Primary Floor Marshal for their section and provide safety services to employees in the event of an emergency.
- The employee will perform additional clerical duties as required and/or assigned.
- Employee will work with the Administrative Services staff performing clerical duties such as, copying, scanning, filing electronic files in Application Extender, data entry, emails, and other clerical duties as assigned.
- The Employee will provide additional mailroom coverage when the mail runner is out sick or on scheduled leave they will need to adjust normal work hours when providing additional coverage in the mail room which must be staffed from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
- Regular attendance is essential to this position.
- Employee must be a self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their job and its responsibilities.
- Successful candidate must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- A valid WV driver’s license
- Successfully pass a background check
- Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions
