Qualifications
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct exams and/or research assignments
- Answer phone calls and provide information to customers
- Research and respond to taxpayer inquiries, problems and concerns both verbally and in writing
- Research Utah State Tax law and regulations
- Provide general and complex information needed to resolve tax issues
- Enter and retrieve information from different systems
- Make and complete adjustments to individual or business accounts
- Explain and apply policies and procedures to taxpayers
- May require working in a contact center (call center)
- Process audits in an agency specific program
- Assist managers and division directors with their work needs
- Process audit payments
The Best Qualified Candidate Will Have The Following
- has accounting, finance or business experience
- has exceptional customer service skills
- is very detail oriented
Preference May Be Given To Those Candidates That Have
- Two years of experience in tax, accounting, banking, law or investigative work.
- You may substitute one year of education in a related field for each year of required experience.
- Starting salary will be $23.78 hourly, or per DHRM rules on transfer/promotion.
