Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:
- Address functional needs of children who have developmental delay or diagnosed disabilities, ages birth to three years
- Plan and implement home based OT programs to increase the family's capacity to care for their child and promote growth and development
- Collaborate and reflect with parents and other providers with an understanding of early child development
- Make recommendations to families about developmental skills in the areas of motor, social-emotional, speech, cognitive and adaptive.
- Incorporate research based intervention activities into daily routines and activities that best meet child's needs
- Adhere to and demonstrate the Baby Watch Early Intervention core values and mission
- Deliver early intervention OT in alignment with Part C of IDEA federal regulation
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and timely
Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:
- Licensed to provide occupational therapy in the state of Utah
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of child development and early intervention practices
- Ability to actively engage with young children
- Experience with BTOTS database
- Experience conducting BDI-3 evaluations
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Experience with IFSP development
