Key Responsibilities
- Oversee delinquent youth in group settings, individual encounters, visitations, and community involvement activities
- Assist in planning programs for youth, counsel youth under supervision, and provide direct care and control in secure or multi-use facilities
- Work as a monitor in the control room to assist the supervisor by making perimeter checks and monitoring visitors and all facility areas
- Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and the public
- Write or draft correspondence, reports, documents, and other written materials
- Coordinate and refer services with community resources, placement providers, the court, and other partners
- Accurately document processes in the CARE system, including intakes, releases, eFiled documents, and notes
- Appropriately utilize provided resources such as Guardtour Pipes, two-way radios, cameras, and keys to supervise youth
- Follow and enforce security procedures, including searches, room checks, radio usage, visitation rules, and staff-to-juvenile ratios
- Maintain the general care and upkeep of facility workspaces, which includes cleaning duties and organizing workspaces.
Minimum Requirements
