Principal Duties
The Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Supervisor Performs The Following Tasks
- Supervises subordinate personnel that includes: hiring, determining workload, delegating assignments, training, monitoring, evaluating performance and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
- Develops, evaluates and interprets policies, procedures, rules, regulations and standards of the program. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, trains and assists in the implementation of existing and new agency programs and policies.
- Evaluates client's abilities and disabilities.
- Reviews medical, psychological, vocational and educational data to maximize the independence and employability of persons coping with personal, social and vocational difficulties that result from birth defects, illness, disease, accidents or the stress of daily life.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines. Monitors and records client's progress to ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Develops and implements training material for both individual and agency training.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) or a related field is required.
- At least two (2) years of Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling experience
