Description of Work

The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Quality Assurance/Standards Manager (Chief Standards Officer, CSO) in the Standards and Risk Management (SRM) Department. The SRM Department is responsible for coordinating and assisting in center-wide efforts to ensure that the WBJ Center, Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital, and Woodside Treatment Center and Woodside Outpatient Treatment Clinic maintains certification and compliance with regulations and quality standards of care. This position manages, produce, and publish technical policy revision functions and maintain a policy database system, both internally and from the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities in preparation for Executive Committee Review. The Policy Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, data entry, and timely filing of Patient Perception of Care Surveys. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and has access to Protected Health Information and other High Restricted Data.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and managing documents and databases systems for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed while also working as part of a team and contributing where needed to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to learn and independently apply laws and departmental rules and regulations covering programs and service.

  • Ability to compile, assimilate and organize both printed and electronic information.

Management Preferences

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Prior work experience managing document database.

About the Facility:

The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community-based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT.  Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.

Veteran's and National Guard Preference
