Due to available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $25.29 per hour.
Why does the job exist?
This position will receive and process incoming payments from probationers and parolees via U.S. Mail on a daily basis; reconcile payments and deposit or distribute within 24 hours per state statue; maintain filing systems for all offender payments throughout the state and serves as point of contact for any transaction history related to payments sent from Probation and Parole Field Offices.
How does it get done?
High School diploma or Equivalency and one (1) year of experience in bill collection, bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
This position is designed safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of Federal and State law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Pre-employment background check is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. May be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.

- Review transactions for documentation of obligation, payment authorization, timely payment and accurate recording
