Why does the job exist?
This position is responsible for but not limited to preparing, scanning, indexing, verifying for clarity and accuracy of various documents produced by the agency into the records imaging system, and will provide advanced consultation and direction the Educational Retirement Board's (ERB) Records Management Unit.
How does it get done?
The position will work with the Member Services Director and the information and Records team to accomplish ERB's goals and manage the agency's record retention. The incumbent will perform or oversee the submission and withdraw of records from the SRCA. The position will provide advanced consultation and direction for imaging, and records storage concepts of ERB employees and supervisors/management and demonstrate accuracy in the work performed. Also, this position will prepare the original documents for retention and disposition in accordance with the established records retention schedule. The incumbent will also assist with the incoming and outgoing distribution of all agency mail and preform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualification
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
