The Northwest Region Public Health Division is responsible for developing and implementing public health programs, conducting research, providing health education, and responding to public health emergencies. Focus includes infectious disease control, maternal and child health, and disease prevention. Our mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of the community we serve.
Why does the job exist?
To provide high-quality Vital records services to the community. In addition to also providing administrative support and perform a range of general office/clerical tasks and assist with the implementation of various policies and procedures.
How does it get done?
Primary duties are printing birth and death certificates for the public and funeral homes. Taking vital records services out in the community. Minor bookkeep duties, coordinate appointments, client support, meetings, training, facilities and other activities.

External customers: Community members, clinic patients
Internal Customers: All NMDOH Staff

Minimum Qualification
No prior experience or training required.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Office setting; exposure to visual/video display terminal extensive computer and telephone usage; extended periods of sitting at the computer: outdoor settings as needed. Regular travel between offices for training, assisting other staff and providing vital record services is required. Ability to lift 25lbs
