This position will provide comprehensive classification and compensation management/tracking services and recruitment for the assigned divisions, bureaus, and sections of the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and within the Human Resource General Office (GO). The position will adhere to strict confidentiality, policies, guidelines, will provide excellent customer service and will assist management and employees with filing vacancies and other HR related functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Business/Personal Reference check and Driver's License verification are required and employment is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Sitting/standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching and kneeling for extended periods of time may be required. High volume interaction with the public, supervisors and co-workers. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

How does it get done?
- Provide human resources assistance to staff on payroll, benefits, and compensation.
- Audit bi-weekly payroll and associated actions for correct processing.
- Provide time entry technical assistance to program staff.
- Process TLV's, refunds, deductions, and manual warrant requests.
- Process onboarding and off boarding with applicable payroll and benefits processing and closure.
- Enter all HR transactions into SHARE-HCM.
- Serves as a liaison for the General Office and the Department and Finance Administration for payroll.
