The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the Department of Game and Fish's new employee orientation, assisting with bi-weekly payroll reporting, records management, data analytics, and other projects as assigned.
How does it get done?
This Human Resources Generalist will collaborate with senior Human Resources staff and the Human Resources Director to meet the agency's Human Resources goals and needs. The Human Resources Generalist will lead employee orientation for new employees. Additional responsibilities of this position include data analytics, payroll reporting, tracking employee training, and data entry in the SHARE Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The Human Resources Generalist serves as the records retention liaison for the Human Resources Bureau and is responsible for proper record management of personnel files, workers' compensation records, and family medical leave documents.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
