DUTIES: • Order and manage inventory: responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory for parts, materials, and tools; including purchases using a p-card or electronic purchase requests. • Chemical handling: manage the chemical inventory, which includes weighing chemicals and ensuring the balances are properly maintained. • Emergency response: pick up parts for emergencies to support operations, as needed. • Vehicle and tool management: maintain the mileage log for an assigned vehicle and order new tools as required. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency. Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
