Job Summary
This position exists to provide administrative and technical support to the Minnesota State Patrol Asset Forfeiture Program at the district level. This position will implement current forfeiture program policies/procedures at the district level consistent with the State Patrol Forfeiture Program by managing assets seized and forfeited in the District from acquisition to final disposition. Act as the district level procurement coordinator for district supplies through the use of the DPS Warehouse and the Innovative Office Solutions for use by the district personnel. This position exists to provide administrative duties to District 3100: these duties include but are not limited to: processes outgoing mail/packages and provides back up to other clerical staff as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Typing keyboarding at 40 WPM
Strong communication and customer service skills (telephone, email and in person) with the ability communicate in English speaking and/or writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform physical inventories of forfeited vehicles in all weather conditions.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift 35 pounds.
Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with SWIFT programs, Self-Time Entry, CAD, data privacy rules, policies and procedures.
Database management.
Effectively use a multi-line telephone system.
Ability to use a digital camera system
Physical Requirements
Medium: Requires occasionally moving and transporting 50 pound items and frequently moving and transporting objects such as heavy tools and heavy file boxes. This job may require positioning self to move to a significant degree across rough terrain or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
