Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Necessary Special Requirement:
Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.

Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG). This position provides the opportunity to advance within the job series as a PSC Enforcement Agent 1, 2, or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.

- Works independently, maintaining extensive knowledge of the industries regulated by the LPSC (gas, water, electric, sewage, telecommunications) and the LPSC rules and regulations that apply to these industries
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with officials of utility companies, related to federal and state agencies, and the general public
- Investigates complex customer utility complaints filed within the District. Obtains and interprets all information necessary to mediate and resolve disputes
- Investigates complaints of illegal activity which may require field inspections of utility facilities
- Maintains working knowledge of policies and guidelines set forth by the LPSC Transportation Division regarding motor carriers
- Maintains a Daily Vehicle Log of travel in assigned state vehicle
