This position is a full-time 12-month, unclassified, in-person staff position located on-site at our Bossier Campus.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two (2) years of experience in a business office environment required; experience in higher education or secondary school environment preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, record-keeping, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and shared document environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Admissions, Recruiting, Student Services, Banner, or ConexED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls. 
  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.

This is a front-line, customer-facing “front window” position that serves as the first point of contact for students and visitors entering the Admissions/Registrar’s Office. The role represents the college by providing clear, accurate, and helpful guidance to prospective and current students throughout the enrollment process. This position assists individuals with admissions, registration, and general enrollment questions, ensuring they receive the support needed to successfully navigate college processes. The role also supports daily office operations, maintains student records and data systems, and collaborates with campus departments to deliver consistent and up-to-date information.

  • Serve as the front-line representative at the Admissions/Registrar front window, assisting prospective students, admitted students, and visitors in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to students on admissions, registration, academic advising, financial aid, and available college resources and processes.
  • Responsible for working closely with the Financial Aid Manager to provide front-line support services as needed.
  • Responsible for reconciling daily Admissions/Registrar Banner reports.
  • Track and manage student and visitor check-in data using ConexED daily.
  • Assist students by responding to emails, calls, and texts for the Admissions/Registrar’s Office.
  • Assist with daily operations and reporting for the Admissions/Registrar’s Office.
  • Collect, process, and enter Maxient documentation into Banner accurately.
  • Process and complete admissions forms within Dynamic Forms, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all required documentation.
  • Assist in adding Industry-Based Credentials (IBCs) to student records.
  • Assist with pulling and processing incoming college transcripts as needed.
  • Assist with processing grade changes and student reinstatements as needed.
  • Assist with graduation-related Admissions/Registrar responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist with National Student Clearinghouse enrollment verifications and related reporting processes as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring current and accurate information is displayed on the Admissions/Registrar website.
  • Track, maintain, and reorder office supplies and materials to support efficient daily operations of the Admissions/Registrar’s Office.
  • Develop relationships with campus divisions and participate in divisional meetings and advisory boards to ensure accurate, up-to-date program information is gathered and effectively relayed to students and the Admissions/Registrar’s Office team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of admissions policies and procedures to accurately assist students and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of communication plans to ensure clear and timely information sharing.
  • Participate in enrollment and registration events outside of normal working hours when required.
  • Stay current on new processes and/or changes pertaining to student information systems.
  • Supports Enrollment Management Division (Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Veterans Services, etc.) and other college divisions as needed.
  • Maintain the commitment to Caring Campus standards and quality service that align with the primary mission of the institution.
  • Other duties and special projects assigned by the supervisor.
