Regular business hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday.
Some travel may be required.

DESCRIPTION

This is a professional position in the Office of Child and Family Well-Being (OCFW) requiring careful time management and initiative to plan and execute OCFW Program prevention grants. Oversees, supports, and guides the Department's strategic plan goals and activities to ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and serves as the statewide subject matter expert regarding the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Maintains oversight and administration of the federal Social Service Block Grant Assists all division leadership of OCFW with prioritizing and tracking communication plans. Leads and participates in interagency or inter-program groups, especially in relation to prevention of child abuse which includes participating in meeting and on national conference calls, as well as, convening statewide conference or workgroups. Maintains oversight and the administration of the Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF), and Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) grants and completes appropriate federal grant applications and corresponding required reports and state plans. Develops draft responses, documents, briefings, talking points, and presentations for state and federal national conferences and/or internal requests. Serves as program lead and prevention content expert for contracting and consulting for prevention related services; serves on national workgroups relevant to child abuse and neglect prevention Manages external contracts with marketing and advertising vendors. Serves as the primary child maltreatment liaison to the Executive Office of Adoption and Child Protection (The Office) and assists the Office and the Children’s Cabinet on child maltreatment issues and concerns. Serves as program office subject matter expert to the various prevention focused workgroups and counterparts in other state and community agencies.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires strong written and oral communication skills, time management skills, knowledge of grant processes, and the ability to work collaboratively to coordinate information from various sources into one response. Must be a Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)

  • Develop and maintain statewide and federal reports and tracking tools based on the collection and analysis of data from grant recipients. Reports may include funding allocation calculations, expenditure tracking/status updates, compliance documentation, and competitive grant scoring summaries.
  • Drafting Grant Applications and Assist in drafting and revising contractual agreements, including customized scopes of work and reporting requirements. Support the development and enhancement of programmatic and financial monitoring criteria, as well as related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, business, public policy or related area of study from an accredited college or university required.

Work Experience Requirements:

At minimum, 3 years’ experience on grants and/or work in a field of social work or contracts with preference given to work specifically with Florida Statutes and Federal Child Welfare regulations.

Software Proficiency:

Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
