Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Application Architect with deep expertise in IBM Sterling Integrator (SI), Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), and enterprise networking to lead the design, modernization, security, and resiliency of mission-critical B2B integration platforms. The role will partner with Security, Infrastructure, and Support teams to design secure, scalable, and highly available solutions supporting external client connectivity and enterprise data exchange.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and design secure, highly available, and resilient IBM Sterling SI/SSP solutions
- Lead IBM Sterling modernization initiatives, including SI 5.x to 6.x upgrades
- Design and implement B2B Edge, DMZ, and secure file transfer architectures
- Partner with Security and Network teams to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and remediation requirements
- Analyze existing integration architectures, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
- Develop and maintain architecture, operational, and security documentation
- Support automation, monitoring, deployment, and production support processes
- Collaborate with global development, infrastructure, release, and support teams
Requirements:
- 7 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) 5.2.6 , including implementation, upgrades, installations, patching, and production support
- Strong experience with Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), SSP Configuration Manager, and External Authenticator
- Proven experience leading IBM SI 5.x to 6.x upgrade initiatives
- Expertise in BPML, XML, XPath, and XSLT
- Load Balancers (LTM/GTM)
- Firewalls, DMZ, Reverse Proxies
- Authentication and Authorization Services
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Shell scripting
- Experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
- Core Java
Requirements:
- 10 years proven hands-on experience in IBM Sterling Integrator 5.2.6 or above, Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), SSP-Configuration Manager, SSP-External Authenticator and Sterling Integrator Implementations, Installations, and patches
- Prior experience with IBM SI 5.x upgrade
- Extensive knowledge of BPML - Business Process Development, Knowledge of XPath, XML and XSLT
- Experience with Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting, Networking/LTM/GTM, design and architecture of authentication services
- Knowledge and understanding of setting up of SFTP, AS2 and Connect Direct transmissions
