What You Bring To SBHG (Qualifications)

Education


  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Alternative Qualifications: Equivalent professional capacity demonstrated through a combination of relevant work experience, specialized education, or technical training.


Experience


  • Professional Background: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, application development, or a closely related field.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Expertise: Proven track record of extracting, transforming, and integrating data using Power Query, Power Automate, and Dataverse to deliver enterprise reporting solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
  • Advanced Power BI Development: Expert-level proficiency in DAX development, data modeling for large/complex datasets, and the implementation of advanced features such as Row-Level Security (RLS), incremental refresh, and dataflows.
  • AI & Analytics Innovation: Familiarity with (or the ability to rapidly adopt) authorized AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to accelerate analytics development—including drafting code and documentation—while ensuring data privacy and output validation.
  • Data Engineering & Architecture: Strong fundamental knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and identity management principles.
  • Database & Reporting Systems: Advanced SQL Server skills, including hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Programming & Integration: Proficiency with cloud and server-based interfaces, including TypeScript, REST API, GraphQL, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Prior experience managing healthcare performance metrics, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions, or clinical research data.

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 93,731.30 - 149,970.08. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
