Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance and must maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.
How You Will Make a Difference (job Overview)
The Residential Facility Cook has a primary responsibility for coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); preparing meals, snacks, shopping for food, and other various life skills. Assist with and supervise meal preparation in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Ensure that all safety regulations are followed, and the facilities are maintained in a safe and clean manner. Assist with client laundry, household cleaning and other tasks as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary and attractive condition.

Education
What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- One (1) year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with a strong background in preparing therapeutic diets preferred OR
- Six (6) months’ housekeeping experience in a hospital, hotel, motel or similar work environment.

Division/Program Overview
- 24/7 voluntary residential setting specifically for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) at risk and needs a higher level of care, but lower than a psychiatric hospital.
- Facility equipped to serve up to 15 Youths.
- Provides mental health services that include individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management.
- Incorporates the tenets of recovery, peer support, and identifying community connections.
- Connects individuals to educational and vocational services and initiating the process of locating housing.
