Starr Regional Medical Center seeks a talented RN Charge to join our team in Women's and Post-Surgical Services. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions.
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care based on patient needs.
- Serves as a leader and supervisor to nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
- Determines staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, skills, census, patient acuity, and work/patient flow.
- Provides direct patient care as needed.
- Maintains effective communication with colleagues and resolves issues that impact patient care.
- Evaluates the quality of care provided and identifies areas for improvement.
- Responds promptly to patient complaints and manages them through established channels.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including entering orders, coordinating admissions or discharges, and managing transfers.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
An Associate's degree in Nursing is preferred but not required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is highly recommended.
Licenses and Certifications:
A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee or another compact state is required.
BLS certification is required at the time of hire. PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire or when transferring into a new department with these certifications.
