Job Summary: The Commercial Lines Market Specialist performs the essential
functions of the position, which includes aiding Sales Executive/Producer(s) in getting new prospects and current clients’ submissions out to our markets. Specific data entry and marketing responsibilities are required in this position. Meets service and sales delivery standards and performs essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides market support to Sales Executive/Producer(s); specifically in analyzing prospect and client coverage needs and eligible and appropriate carriers.
- Create complete submissions for each prospect or client from the information gathered by the producer or already in AMS.
- Obtain a detailed description of the business from producer to send with the submission to the underwriter.
- Request/pull loss runs or coordinate with commercial account manager on current clients.
- Completes applications in coordination with Sales Executive/Producer(s); submits applications to carriers
- Put all pertinent information for the prospect/client into Sharepoint to be shared with marketing team and Sales Executive/Producer
- Follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations.
- Where required do the necessary input of information into the carrier website for quoting
- Coordinate all requests for supplemental information or applications from the underwiter to the Commercial Account Manager or the Sales Executive/Producer

- Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.

- Knowledge of insurance products and usage’s.
- Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
- Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures preferred.
- Familiarity with computer, excel and word processing programs.
