Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated toddler, Preschool and after school teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Engage children in various activities that promote learning through play, including arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their child's development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support children’s emotional well-being and social skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere for all students, including those with special needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience or training in special education is a plus.
- Ability to engage children through various activities such as sports coaching, theater, or tutoring.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
