Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and product quality. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a presence on the production floor rather than a desk-based position. Bilingual communication skills, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
Monitor attendance, vacation, and absenteeism of production staff.
Maintain facility cleanliness, including floors and workstations.
Ensure proper gowning and hygiene compliance among staff.
Oversee correct placement and scanning of inventory and finished goods.
Set and communicate daily production goals with team and support departments.
Ensure machines run efficiently; identify issues and escalate to maintenance.
Review and sign off on daily checklists and production reports.
Team Management
Lead, train, and evaluate production staff and line inspectors.
Provide input on new hires and support onboarding activities.
Coordinate daily meetings and performance reviews.
Promote teamwork and professional standards in the workplace.
Production & Quality Control
Oversee and audit production documentation (e.g., DHR, downtime logs).
Coordinate with QA for inspections, documentation, and quality checks.
Monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels.
Suggest and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with compliance initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all team members follow safety and hygiene policies.
Report incidents and support investigations as needed.
Maintain and replenish first aid kits and safety equipment.
Post safety and hygiene materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to lead by example and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
