Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Closings: Month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow) for management
- Audit & Tax Support: Prepare comprehensive workpapers and act as a liaison for external auditors
- Variance Analysis: Review budget versus actuals, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable financial analysis to senior leadership
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine accounting processes, internal controls, and data management systems to boost efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience with major accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or ERP systems)
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate financial data to non-finance team
