What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at EPSG, LLC?
EPSG, a leading and innovative financial payment solutions company, is currently seeking a full‐time Senior Accountant to join our growing Corporate Finance department. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Melville, NY and will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash management, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various ad‐hoc analyses
- Support the general ledger function, including maintenance and reconciliation of various ledgers and sub‐ledgers as well as monthly account analysis
- Assist in the preparation of the annual review/audit
- Participate in a variety of value‐added initiatives and process enhancements to optimize the output of the Corporate Finance department
Qualifications
- 2 years of accounting experience
- BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
- Self‐motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team to effectively complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
- Experience with Inventory & Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt processes preferred
- Experience with monthly financial reporting close processes a plus
