Job Summary
Under supervision and the direction of the Program Supervisor, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for infants/toddlers and preschoolers.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school required. Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program preferred. One year experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Enrollment in Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred. Three to six units infant/toddler care development required based on Permit held. THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit. Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification - in person training require. California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or high level permit. Three (3) units infant/toddler care and development required. Transcripts with infant/toddler units. (SPECIAL NOTE: Copies of Permits should include the name of the permit, permit details, authorizations, and expiration date. You may obtain a copy from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov.) RECOMMENDED DOCUMENTS: The following documents are recommended at the time of application: •Letter of Interest •Resume •Transcripts (Can be unofficial or official at the time of application)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: * Valid driver's license * Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance. The following documents are NOT required at time of application, but will be required if offered employment: •Department of Justice/FBI/CACI fingerprint clearance •Tuberculosis clearance •Physical/lift test/drug screen clearance •Official transcripts
