What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Yard Associate position at Stan Houston Equipment?
We are seeking a Full-Time Rental Yard Associate
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous way.
- Ensure rental equipment is properly displayed and organized.
- Assist customers with rental equipment (pick-up, drop-off).
- Inspect rental equipment for damage, cleanliness, and operational functionality before and after pick-up and drop-off.
- Assist in coordinating rental equipment maintenance, repairs, and cleaning as necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Basic computer skills for accessing computer software systems to obtain product information.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience in customer service, rental or retail preferred.
- Previous experience with construction tools and equipment preferred.

Physical Capabilities Required:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
