Service Reliability Engineer Identity Operations (Remote, US)
We are looking for a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a global technology company s Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure. In this role you will ensure seamless, secure access for employees and systems while managing core identity services like Okta and Microsoft Entra ID across a hybrid-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem). This hands-on role focuses on automation, resilient operations, and solving complex challenges that enable critical processes from employee lifecycle management to privileged access and FedRAMP compliance.
This is a 6-12-month contract (extensions possible), 40-hour-per-week, remote role in the US.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
• Own and operate the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of core identity platforms, primarily Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows to streamline identity lifecycle management, including user onboarding/offboarding, group management, and application access provisioning.
• Develop and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the business.
• Create and document clear, actionable SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for incident response, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Support and troubleshoot identity services across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless integration.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for identity in processes such as employee lifecycle, application access, PAM, and FedRAMP compliance.
• Partner with Security, IT, and Engineering teams to design and implement new identity solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and resolve critical identity service incidents.
Requirements:
• 3 years of experience in Service Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Administration with a focus on IAM.
• Hands-on experience with Okta (Workflows, OIG) and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong scripting/automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Go.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of IAM concepts (least privilege, zero trust, identity lifecycle) and modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, FIDO2/WebAuthn).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with IGA tools and concepts.
• Experience with PAM solutions (CyberArk, Delinea, HashiCorp Vault).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, SOC 2, FedRAMP).
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
