Project Manager – Summary
The Project Manager oversees assigned projects with a focus on safe, high‑quality execution, client satisfaction, and strong financial outcomes. This role ensures all work aligns with the client’s policies, procedures, and performance standards while coordinating labor, budget, equipment, and onsite activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the client professionally and uphold core values.
- Serve as primary client contact; assess project scope, resources, and deliverables.
- Prepare complete estimates, review drawings/specs, and manage takeoffs.
- Lead total construction effort to meet design, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Coordinate onsite operations, scheduling, engineering, materials, and administrative support.
- Interpret drawings, recommend construction methods, and manage extra work/change orders.
- Ensure full contractual compliance and project performance.
- Lead cross‑functional teams; define tasks and delegate appropriately.
- Conduct cost analysis, prepare budgets, and monitor financial performance.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Serve as liaison between the client, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Support sales/marketing with project information when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, contractual, and company standards.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical training/experience.
- 8 years in construction management, estimating, or craft supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, estimating, safety, and contract execution.
- Experience advising federal/commercial clients on construction law, contracts, and disputes.
- Government (Federal, State, City) services and procurement experience required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Highly detail‑oriented, proactive, and team‑focused.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complex project issues.
