Position: Junior Estimator (Take-Off Technician)
Job Summary: The Junior Estimator is pivotal in analyzing construction blueprints and digital designs, examining geological soil assessments, and determining material and labor estimates. Collaboration with senior estimators and project teams is essential to ensure precise and expedient project evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
Compute material quantities and labor costs using Microsoft Excel with precision.
Update material take-offs based on engineering addenda and clarifications.
Utilize AutoCAD and Agtek for calculating excavation volumes and other material requirements. (Note: Training provided, though prior experience is beneficial.)
Relay take-off data and project details to the estimating team and relevant staff.
Support the Project Estimator in reviewing project scopes and formulating estimates.
Be willing to work additional hours or weekends when necessary.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not entail supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
Proficient in Civil Construction concepts, particularly Excavation and Utilities.
Familiarity with Agtek software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite.
