Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position based in Katy, TX. The Junior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing project requirements, plans, and specifications. Daily tasks include gathering and reviewing bid documentation, quantifying materials, preparing cost breakdowns, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers. The Junior Estimator will also ensure compliance with company standards and practices throughout the estimation process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, bid preparation, and understanding project plans and specifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards
- Proficiency in software tools relevant to cost estimation, such as Microsoft Excel and estimation software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience in the construction or sheet metal industry is a plus
