Job Summary:Service, maintain, and troubleshoot tower cranes and hoists. This role includes performing installations, dismantles, jumps/climbs, and repairs while ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Service and Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled service and preventative maintenance for tower cranes and hoists to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on equipment.
  • Conduct installation, dismantling, jumping/climbing, and reconfiguration of tower cranes and hoists according to project requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Track and log time accurately for each project or service task.
  • Complete detailed service reports, preparation forms, and pre/post service documentation.
  • Ensure all forms and reports are submitted promptly and accurately.

Customer Communication and Scheduling:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers during service or project operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls with customers and project teams, providing regular updates on progress.
  • Participate in an on-call program to provide emergency service support when needed.

Parts Management:

  • Order and organize parts, tools, and materials required for service, repair, or project tasks.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and ensure equipment is prepared and ready for operations.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during tasks.
  • Conduct safety checks before and after service or installation to confirm compliance with regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting tower cranes and hoists.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using tools, diagnostic equipment, and technology to service equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time tracking, documentation, and parts ordering effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and maneuvering equipment as needed.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
